
Drew Estate announces the promotion of Founder and President Jonathan Drew Sann to Chief Innovation Officer (CIO), alongside the hiring of Andrew Duncan as Senior Vice President of Marketing, who will take over Jonathan’s previous role. Jonathan will remain President and a key member of the Executive Team.
In his new position, Jonathan will focus on harnessing his entrepreneurial vision to drive innovation and identify new opportunities aligned with Drew Estate’s core competencies: innovation, disruption, iconic brands, and engagement. Notable initiatives from the Innovation Department include the new Drew Dominicana factory and the J.SANN & SON retail division.
CEO Glenn Wolfson stated that this transition marks a significant chapter in Drew Estate’s history, emphasizing the importance of Jonathan’s visionary leadership. Jonathan expressed his commitment to creating a lasting legacy that honors the company’s stakeholders.
Andrew Duncan, formerly of The Sazerac Company, will lead Brand Management, Consumer Engagement, Digital Marketing, and Global Creative at Drew Estate. Wolfson acknowledged the challenges of finding a candidate for this role, highlighting Andrew’s alignment with the company’s values and the premium-cigar industry culture.
Jonathan praised Andrew’s unique blend of intellect, humility, and personal values, emphasizing their future collaboration in Marketing and Innovation. Andrew is originally from Pittsburgh and holds an MBA from the Kelly School of Business at Indiana University.
