The Oliva Aliados Original Robusto is part of the Aliados Original Blend line from Oliva Cigar Co. The line was introduced in 2022 following Oliva’s acquisition of the Cuba Aliados brand, with the cigars officially shipping on August 25, 2022.
The Original Blend is produced in Honduras by Julio Eiroa at Fábrica de Puros Aladino and is a regular production line composed of a Honduran puro. At launch, the line was released in five vitolas: Robusto (5 x 50), Toro (6 x 52), Torpedo (6 x 54), Churchill (7 x 50), ReGordo (6 x 60).
The cigars are wrapped up in a colorado leaf, smooth to the touch. The filling shows some soft spots.

Oliva Aliados Original Robusto: the cold draw delivers black pepper, wood, and coffee beans. The opening delivers a roasted coffee note.
The first third alternates notes of earth and coffee. The strength is medium-light(2.5/5).
The middle third delivers the same flavor profile. The strength is confirmed as well (3/5).
In the last part, the flavor profile is completed with vegetal notes. The strength doesn’t change (3/5).
Overall, the Oliva Aliados Original Robusto delivers a rather limited flavor profile, both in terms of flavors and evolution. The smoke is balanced, though, for the whole duration of the smoke.
