Plasencia Cigars will mark a milestone chapter at the 2026 Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in New Orleans with two major announcements: a refined brand identity and the launch of Triunfal, a limited-edition release inspired by the world’s most celebrated sporting moment.
The updated identity brings Plasencia’s visual language into alignment with what has always defined the family: direct ownership of land, crop, and craft across five generations. At its heart is a single tobacco leaf, organic, imperfect, and alive, held within a hexagon, one of nature’s most efficient forms. The contrast is intentional, representing individuality within natural geometry and craftsmanship guided by nature rather than imposed upon it. Rolling out from Winter 2026, the new identity will debut first on Triunfal’s packaging.
“Since 1865, every generation of Plasencia has inherited the same mandate: make it better. This identity makes visible what has always been true: that great tobacco starts with great soil, and that what we pass down matters as much as what we make today”, said Néstor Andrés Plasencia, fifth-generation member of the Plasencia cigar family.

Triunfal honors the quadrennial pinnacle of international football, celebrating the unity of Canada, the United States, and Mexico as co-hosts of the world’s grandest stage. Limited to 5,000 individually numbered boxes worldwide, the Gran Toro (6¼ x 54) is crafted from Plasencia’s finest aged reserves. Its stadium-inspired packaging features subtle green striping, numbered elements, and refined gold accents. The suggested retail price is set at $59.99 per cigar, or $599.00 per box of 10.
The blend showcases a wrapper sourced from Jamastrán, Honduras, specifically from finca La Tradición. It is complemented by a binder from Olancho, Honduras, harvested from finca San Agustín. The filler consists of 100% Organic tobacco from Jalapa, Nicaragua, sourced from finca La Vega, and 100% Organic tobacco from Jamastrán, Nicaragua, sourced from finca La Tradición. They are rolled at the company’s Tabacos de Oriente factory located in Danlí, Honduras.

“TRIUNFAL represents much more than a cigar,” said José Luis Plasencia, fifth-generation member of the Plasencia cigar family. “It reflects unity, resilience, and celebration—values that resonate deeply with our family’s heritage. We believe cigars are meant to accompany life’s most memorable moments, and TRIUNFAL honors one of the most powerful shared celebrations inspired by the game that unites the world.”
