Alec Bradley Cigars Safe Keepings revives an old blend that was previously unreleased. The cigars were recreated based on notes from an old blending book by company founder Alan Rubin.
The cigars are rolled in a motley Colorado wrapper that is smooth to the touch. The construction is flawless and the filling is uniform.

Alec Bradley Safe Keepings Robusto: The cold draw reveals aromas of hay. Once lit, a mix of pepper, nuts, and wood gives way to the smoke.
An intense leather note is added further into the first third, with a suave sweetness in the background. The strength is medium-light (2/5).
A herbal note is added to the white pepper, nuts, wood and leather in the second third. The strength remains unchanged.
The herbal note becomes balsamic in the last third, while the remainder of the profile stays more or less the same. The strength grows to a medium level (3/5).
Overall, the Alec Bradley Safe Keepings Robusto is a balanced and round smoke with a well-structured flavor profile. It lacks a bit in complexity and evolution, but it is nevertheless a solid smoke.
