Last year marked the ten-year anniversary of AJ Fernandez’s New World brand. To commemorate this milestone, the cigarmaker introduced a new line called New World Decenio, which means “decade” in Spanish. These special cigars were previewed at the PCA trade show held in New Orleans this spring and began shipping to retailers this month.
The New World Decenio line features three softly box-pressed sizes: Robusto (54 x 140 mm – 5 ½”), Toro (54 x 165 mm – 6 ½”), and Gordo (58 x 152 mm – 6″). The MSRP ranges from $12.50 for the Robusto, $14 for the Toro, to $15 for the Gordo. All sizes are packaged in 20-ct blue lacquered boxes.
The blend for New World Decenio consists of a Mexican wrapper, a Nicaraguan binder, and a combination of fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua.
