Tasting notes TALISKER SKYE

Nose: at the beginning notes of sherry and ripe fruits (apple and pear) get developed. Then it is the time of black pepper and some marine aromas. The alcohol is well perceivable to the nose, even too much. To the nose this whisky is simple, but this is not something that needs to be negative.

Palate: it gets more interesting. Black pepper notes, followed by ripe fruit (especially red apple) get developed. The alcohol well supports the aromatic palette. There are also some hints of malt, that get more intense sip after sip.

Finish: average persistence. It is spicy (black pepper and cinnamon) and fruity, with malts notes that complete the aromatic palette.

The expectation about this whisky are satisfied. The aromatic palette is close to the Talisker one, even if this is a simple whisky, tha can be enjoyed by everybody. By the way, the 10 yo is better.
