TASTING NOTES TALISKER DISTILLERS EDITION 2000
Nose: immediately it delivers notes of black pepper, joined by acacia honey and caramel. Then a slight smoky and marine character can be perceived. After a few minutes in the glass, yellow fruit makes its way, especially apple and unripe banana.
Palate: sweet note of honey and caramel emerge, all followed by a spiciness of black pepper. The intensity is good. There are smokey notes and some salt and iodine aromas perceivable. Lastly, yellow fruit and orange jam reach the palate.
Finale: medium intensity. A little bit smoky, it develops tobacco, black pepper, salt and acacia honey. Persistence is above average.
The various Talisker distillers editions have never particularly shone. It is an enjoyable product, but not a “must”. This Talisker Distillers Edition 2000 maintains a good quality level: the aromatic palette is close to the brand one, giving character. Conversely, in the finish there are some peculiar aromas, giving birth to a wider spectrum of sensations during the tasting. Overall a products with a high drinkability.
