After Brora and Port Ellen, Rosebank will be brought back to life in a couple years.
The independent bottler Ian Macleod has recently bought both the brand and the old buildings situated 45km west of Edinburgh along Falkirk’s canal. The distillery, closed in 1993, will have a new visitor centre and up to 10-12 million pounds will be invested in its reopening.
New bottlings are set to be released in the coming years whilst production will be resumed by 2019. The spirit will reflect Rosebank’s iconic fruity and floreal style thanks to triple distillation and worm tube condensers.
