ProCigar Festival 2017

ProCigar Festival 2017

ProCigar Festival 2017 640 335 Michel Arlia

Today is the closing day of the ProCigar Festival 2017, held in Dominican Republic. The cigar event allows the encounter between producers, distributors, retailer and consumers of Caribbean cigars.

The ProCigar began on February the 19th.

Programmed are a tour a the Tabacalera de García factory in La Romana, the visits to the plantations of Santiago de los Caballeros and its near factories, such as: General Cigar, Davidoff, Quesada Cigars, La Aurora, De Los Reyes Cigars, Tabacalera La Alianza-EP Carrillo, La Flor Dominicana, Tabacalera Palma, PDR Cigars and the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation.

The peculiarity of the ProCigar lies in the alternation between relaxing moments at the beach, under the tropical sun, and the excursions to the plantations and factories. The evenings are followed by a series of dinners, where delicious local specialties and premium beverages are served. Outlined with shows, dances and of course cigars.

There will be a charity auction during the closing dinner (which is tonight); the proceeds go to the Voluntariado de Jesús con los Niños foundation (a non profit organization for sick children), the Sociedad San Vicente de Paul (nursing home for elders with a low income) and to the Monumento a los Heroes de la Restauración.
