Pappy Van Winkle Tradition 2018 version are coming to US retailers. The cigar is produced by Drew Estate and is a tribute to the manufacturer of the eponymous bourbon.
The 2018 version of the cigar consists of an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper, Indonesian binder and filler tobaccos from Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. The tobacco is fermented in bourbon barrels, thus harmonizing the classic rye notes of the spirit with the main aromas of the cigar.
Jonathan Drew declares: “Pappy Van Winkle Tradition is an ultra-complex cigar that honors the history and craftsmanship of Pappy Van Winkle’s bourbon. We have chosen to age these cigars a year longer than other releases, with Willy Herrera’s intention to amplify the smoothness.”
