La Aurora 107 Lancero

La Aurora 107 Lancero

La Aurora 107 Lancero 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

La Aurora 107 was released to celebrate the 107th anniversary of the factory’s foundation. The line has been a great success. The portfolio has expanded to many sizes (currently, there are ten in all, including the Belicoso) and two different versions: Nicaragua and US Broadleaf. The Blend uses tobacco from the Cibao valley, Nicaragua, and Peru and is wrapped by an Ecuadorian leaf. They are sold in boxes of 21 pieces.

Despite the name, this Lancero measures closer to a Panetela than to an actual Lancero.

La Aurora 107 Lancero

The La Aurora 107 Lancero come dressed in Colorado shaded wrappers that are smooth to the touch. The filling is not among the most uniform, and in some samples, there were gaps present.

La Aurora 107 Lancero

La Aurora 107 Lancero: hints of wood are revealed in the cold draw. Once lit, the cigar develops vegetal notes.

La Aurora 107 Lancero

The first third continues on the vegetal aromas, which make their way on a slightly acidic base. Peppery nuances are also perceptible. Strength is light (2/5).

In the central section, the peppery component remains very present and now recalls black pepper. The vegetal notes pass into the background, and a leather aroma becomes perceptible. The strength does not show variations and remains constant on the average rent (2/5).

The last third confirms the flavor profile. Strength grows slightly, reaching a medium-light level (2.5/5).

Overall, the La Aurora 107 Lancero gives off a relatively linear smoke. The small evolution is mainly perceptible between the first and second third. That said, the cigar is balanced and fairly round.
