Tasting notes HOUSE MALT 1990/2016 CASK 55
Nose: intense and refined. It delivers notes of tree nuts (in particolar pine seeds) and a mix of spices, mainly black pepper. Then it’s the time of strawberries, candied orange and raisin.
Palate: sweetish, with caramel notes. It develops red fruits and spices (black pepper, paprika and cinnamon). Then tree nuts (now almond), dates and figs.
Final: long and intense. Tree nuts and red fruits, followed by cocoa and coffee beans. Lastly come to the palate spices (black pepper and cinnamon) and aromatic herbs (rosemary).
Usually Wilson & Morgan doesn’t make mistakes with these selection and this product confirms the trend. It is a quality whisky, able to develops a good complexity. Perfect to be paired with chocolate sweets.
