Glenlossie 1992/2015 Sansibar

Glenlossie 1992/2015 Sansibar

Glenlossie 1992/2015 Sansibar 800 450 Federico Bosco

In the heart of Speyside, Glenlossie is a virtually unknown distillery. The official bottlings can be counted on one hand. Their main business is contributing to different blends, marketed by the owner, Diageo. However, there are several independent bottles. Like this single barrel selected by Sansibar, a German bottler. It was created for the Spirits Shop Selection series, a distillery shop in Taiwan.

TASTING NOTES GLENLOSSIE 1992/2015 SANSIBAR

Nose: initially pungent. It releases intense hints of black pepper and camphor, followed by a fruity side, cooked apple, yellow pear and apricot.

Palate: the mouth-feel is spicy, black pepper, followed by rich notes of fruit. Orange and apricot jam, a touch of vanilla, then slightly sour red fruits, strawberry and plum.

Finish: medium intensity and good complexity. Spicy, vanilla, yellow and red fruit and apricot jam.

The Glenlossie 1992/2015 Sansibar is a good whisky, thanks to its complexity and intensity. It improves significantly on the nose over time, giving a wide spectrum of flavors to be analyzed.
