The Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 6 is a cask strength bottling, released in batches from the distillery. The “recipe” involves the use of ex-sherry, Oloroso and Pedro Ximenez barrels, the age is not declared and the alcohol content is the highest among all the batches produced so far.

TASTING NOTES GLENDRONACH CASK STRENGTH BATCH 6
Nose: the impact is spicy, and immediately black pepper is released, followed by dried mushrooms. It proceeds on a fruity vein of peach, red apple and apricot. A hint of candied orange is also perceptible. The complexity is pronounced.
Palate: the intensity is marked. Rich notes of black pepper are joined by cocoa and red fruits (a mix of cherry, black cherry and strawberry). Red apple also comes back. The spices become more intense after a few moments.
Finale: of long persistence and very intense. It reveals black pepper, red fruits (sour cherry and strawberry) and, lastly, malt.
ntensity, complexity and balance are excellent. A product that from batch to batch is renewed with only one constant: the elevated level.
