Glendronach Cask Strength Batch 2.

Nose: dried fruit is marked and culminates in dried mushrooms territory, though not overwhelming as in the 15 years of the distillery. Notes of vanilla and caramel, wood spice, caramel and very sweet liquorice (Haribo candy style).

Palate: fresh and sweet mouth, with a slight bitter vein of wood but never dominating. Then it goes on fruity territories, peach and apricot with notes of vanilla.

Finale: light wood, a little elusive but still well structured. Sherry and damp earth.

Comment: the palate is very respectable and also the nose did not drop style, a bit too monothematic.
