TASTING NOTES GLEN GRANT FIVE DECADES

Nose: immediately spicy with white pepper, cinnamon and camphor. After a few moments, yellow fruits emerge: unripe banana, apple and apricot. Then there are scents of honey and vanilla.

Palate: rather gentle. Some spices. The main aroma is the fruit: a mix of peach, apricot and red apple is well blended and supported once again by honey and vanilla notes. The spices gradually become richer.

Finish: medium persistency. Intense notes of black pepper are followed by vanilla, honey and yellow fruit.

The Glen Grant Five Decades proposes a concentrate of many years, resulting in the summary release of the last fifty years. Despite the first sip not being particular captivating, this whisky delivers an intense and very well structured, followed by a long finish. The ABV chosen is perfect.

Rating: 87
