GIN OLD FASHIONED PAIRING

GIN OLD FASHIONED PAIRING

GIN OLD FASHIONED PAIRING 555 370 Michel Arlia

The Gin Old Fashioned is a very simple drink, compost of one spirit, water, sugar and a bitter component. Thats it. Simple but pleasant to sip, escpescialy if you are able to find the right cigar to create the perfect combination.

old-fashioned-gin

RECIPE
• 5 cl Gin Barrel aged (exp CITADELLE RESERVE or BEEFEATER BURROUGH RESERVE )
• 2 Dash Angostura
• 1 sugar cube
• Soda water
• Ice
Soak the sugar cube in Angostura, do it on a paper towel (the excess Angostura will be absorbed by it), melt the sugar cube with soda water inside a low tumbler, add ice, gin and mix. Complete it by squeezing a lemon peel in the drink. There is never to much ice.

CIGAR FOR PAIRING
Davidoff Escurio Gran Toro: this pairing is nothing for someone who wants to enjoy it carefree, without dedicating it the right attention. The Escurio Gran Toro reveals a great complexity by its own, with the Brasilian tobaccos that has a certain bitterness implanted in the background. The drink point exactly to the flavors of the Escurio, with its bitter-sweet contrast, that give birth to a particular, but at the same time pleasing, marriage. If you are looking for a pairing to give your attention to, this is the right one! (For the complete review of the Davidoff Wscurio Gran Toro, click here!)davidoff_escurio_gran_toro
