The Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2019 is the second iteration of the limited editions of the brand. Compared to last years release, the 2019 version has almost the same size and is also made in Honduras, at the San Judas Tadeo factory. Production numbers were doubled to 1000 boxes of 10 cigars. That’s about it, when it comes to more detailed information, since everything else has been under lock and key.
The blue and golden bands are the first things that grab your attention, which then moves to the wrapper. Said wrapper has a Colorado Maduro shade, that is smooth to the touch. Construction is flawless. For those wondering, the piece of golden leaf on the wrapper, that the brand is famous for, is hidden under the bands.

Further into the first third, the white pepper and cinnamon combo are center stage, with wood and mineral notes circuling around them. Herbal and vegetal nuances are also perceptible in some puff. Strength falls a little short of the medium body (2.5/5).
In the second third, core of the flavor profile is the spice mix of white pepper and cinnamon, wood and mineral. The vegetal note is still present in some puffs, but the herbal aroma has now become more evident in the background. Strength increases slightly to a medium level (3/5).
The final third sees a couple of flavors moving to up to the core profile, namely leather, nuts and coffee beans. Toward the end of the cigar, the spices morph into black pepper. Strength stays at the medium level.
Overall, the Cavalier Genève Limited Edition 2019 is a remarkably complex smoke, but it is also so well balanced. The flavors are broad, pronounced and unique at the same time.
