Cardhu 12 yo is the entry level spirit, with age declaration, from the famous distillery from the Speyside. Founded in 1824, it was home to some blended whiskies for many years, including Johnnie Walker. They have been bottling only single malts for a few years now and a owned by the Diageo.

Tasting notes CARDHU 12 yo
Nose: outlined on notes of vanilla, gooseberry and malt, accompanied by honey and spicy hints of white pepper. Lastly, almost imperceptible, a hint of licorice.
Palate: the first impact is sweet. Suave note of vanilla and caramel are perceptible, followed by flavors of oak and a light spicy note. Also present are hints of honey, dried fruits and malt. The intensity is contained and the whisky results elegant.
Finale: light persistency. Sweet and honeyed, equipped with a light spiciness.
