CAO Nicaragua Granada

CAO Nicaragua Granada

CAO Nicaragua Granada 800 450 Luca Cominelli

The CAO Nicaragua Granada is one of the latest releases of the brand, which belongs to the STG (Scandinavia Tobacco Group) portfolio. The blue and gold band, with the word CAO in red. As a design, it deviates from what is seen in the new releases of today and it seems to recall some older, almost vintage productions.

Country of Origin: Nicaragua
Size: 50 x 152 mm (6″)
Wrapper: Honduras (Jamastran)
Binder: Honduras (Jamastran)
Filler: Nicaragua (Condega, Esteli, Jalapa)
Price: $7

Aesthetically, it presents a wrapper that is slightly rough to the touch and of a Colorado Maduro shade.

 width=

CAO Nicaragua Granada: the cold draw reveals hints of earth, which are also perceptible in the opening.

The first third alternates flavors of cocoa and earth. Strength is medium (3/5).

 width=

The duo of cocoa and earth continues into the second third, to which intense notes of black pepper are added. Strength grows slightly (3/5).

In the last third, the earth and cocoa are still present. They are always supported by black pepper, which becomes more intense, turning into hot spices in the end. Strength grows, reaching a medium – full level (4/5).

Overall, the CAO Nicaragua Granada has a good flavor intensity. The flavor profile is fairly wide, while the evolution is the Achilles heel of this cigar, as it is not particularly pronounced.
