Caldwell Eastern Standard Cream Crush is a cigar produced in the Dominican Republic, by the Ventura Family. It is a Churchill in size. The blend uses a Connecticut Shade grown wrapper.

The wrapped is of a Colorado shade, darker then a usual Connecticut Shade and slightly rough to the touch. Construction doesn’t present any gaps.

Caldwell Eastern Standard Cream Crush: the cold draw reveals hints of barnyard. The opening brings spicy notes of black pepper to the palate.

From the first puff on, the smoke is very creamy. Strength is medium – light (2/5).

The second third alternates flavors of cedar, spices (black pepper) and hazelnut. Strength grows slightly, but remains on the lighter side (2.5/5).

The last third sees the spices becoming slightly more pronounced. Cedar and hazelnut are also present, but are released on a slightly sweet base. Strength grows, reaching the medium level (3/5).

The flavor profile is not the most complex, but the aromas are well outlined and easy to pick out.
