Tasting notes: BOWMORE 15 YO DARKEST

Nose: reveals notes of cocoa, peat and, after a few moment, nuts, hazelnut in particular. Lastly, a mix of wild berries, with strong peaks of strawberries and amarena, reaches the nostrils.

Palate: primarily peat, accompanied by flavors of red fruits and wood. Afterwards, notes of cereal and malt reach the palate.

Finale: medium persistency. Spicy aromas (white pepper) and nuances of red fruit. Lastly, wood. Slightly dry.

Overall, a certainly warm scotch whisky, but with a flawed harmony. The aromatic palette isn’t particularly balanced and amalgamated; in parts, the peat prevails, covering the remaining flavors. However, it presents a good intensity on the palate.
