A couple of new releases from Habanos S.A. will soon be reaching the Swiss market, including the highly anticipated Bolivar New Gold Medal (La Casa del Habano exclusive) presented earlier this year at the Festival del Habano. The other one is a new regular production release size under the La Gloria Cubana brand called Turquinos.
The Bolivar New Gold Medal will be available exclusively for LCDH stores. It’s a size known as “Partagás 15″ (48 x 165 mm – 6 1/2”). The original Bolivar Gold Medal was discontinued in 2011. Although the ring gauge has grown from 42 to 48, it is still the same length as the original Gold Medal.
Like the predecessor, the cigar is wrapped with golden foil, which starts at the top of the cigar and is covered by the Bolivar band at the bottom. Below the second band is a red LCDH band. The Bolivar New Gold Medal will be sold in 10-count boxes. Retail price is set at 290.- CHF per box.
The La Gloria Cubana Turquinos, comes in a Gordito size (50 x 141mm – 5 1/2″). The Turquinos are sold in 10-count boxes.
The Bolivar New Gold Medal and the Gloria Cubana Turquinos will be available at Swiss Casa del Habano on the 8th of August 2023, and the Turquinos will also be available at Habanos Specialist stores on the 15th of August 2023.
