The Balvenie Thirty was sold in 2013. This Balvenie is a mix of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry Oloroso Barrels, aged over thirty years. It is therefore a limited product and that only a few distilleries can present.

TASTING NOTES BALVENIE THIRTY
Nose: immediately fresh, despite the long maturation. The predominant aroma is honey, which has always been synonymous with Balvenie. Sweet notes of licorice, orange peel and ripe yellow fruit, including peach and apricot, complete the flavor profile. Lastly, notes of lavender.
Palate: the first sip is sweet and almost perfect in intensity. The main flavor is still honey, supported by a spicy component of black pepper and woody spices. Coffee beans follow. The lavender, already perceived on the nose, is returns and is now joined by cocoa and milk chocolate.
Finish: intense, with a long finish. Wood, honey, black pepper and milk chocolate are present.
Overall, the Balvenie Thirty is capable to present a high level of intensity and complexity. It is the complete package, worthy of attention.
