The wrapper is of a Colorado shade, that is thin and silky to the touch. In some samples, the finish of the head shows some small defects, but nothing that affects the smoking experience.

AVO LE05 30 Years: unlit, it reveals floral notes and hints of hay. The opening reveals intense notes of walnut, supported by spices, among which white pepper stands out.

The first third alternates walnut and earth, supported by white pepper in the aftertaste. Nuances of wood bark are present in the background. The finish is long and it turns to hot spices. Strength is slightly above medium (3.5/5).

In the second third, roasted notes of coffee, wood bark and leather are perceptible. The spices are still present in the aftertaste, remaining well pronounce. Strength grows, becoming medium-full (4/5).

An intense note of earth, which becomes the main flavor, develops in the last third. Then the walnut returns. The smoke becomes more rustic and it becomes less spicy. A touch of espresso is added in the finale, which is particularly earthy. Strength remains constant (4/5).

Overall, the AVO LE05 30 Years releases an intense smoke with a structured flavor profile. The complexity stands out, a feature that has always been a strong point in cigars that bear the AVO name.

Rating: 93
