In 2018 AVO celebrates their 30 year anniversary by presenting a new cigar: AVO Improvisation 30 Years. the brand will also repropose two lines discontinued in 2015, AVO Maduro and Signature, and a commemorative packaging for the Syncro line.
AVO Improvisation 30 Years is based around the AVO Classic No. 3, from which it inherits its 50 x 190 mm size. The blend is made up of an Ecuadorian wrapper; binder and filler are both Dominican.
Cigars are adorned by two white bands, the main one reporting the classic AVO logo in black, the second one referring to the 30th anniversary.
Production is limited to 2.400 boxes, containing 15 cigars. They will be available from mid March on and the price is set at $15 per cigar.
AVO Maduro comes in the original blend, made up of a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper and a Dominican binder and filler; from April on they will return for a limited run of 600 boxes, in 4 sizes:
- AVO Maduro Robusto, 50 x 127 mm
- AVO Maduro No. 2, 50 x 152 mm
- AVO Maduro No. 3, 50 x 190 mm
- AVO Maduro Piramides, 52 x 178 mm
Packaging wont’ change: the boxes stay black with 5 rows of 5 cigars; the band is updated and accompanied by a “30th” secondary band. The prices range from $9,50 to $11, depending on the size.
The Signature version is based around the personal blend that was smoked by Avo Uvezian, the one from the 75° anniversary: Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder and filler.
They will be available in three sizes from July on. 1.500 10-count boxes will be produced:
- AVO Signature Robusto, 52 x 127 mm , $ 13,70
- AVO Signature Belicoso, 48 x 152 mm, $ 13,20
- AVO Signature Double Corona, 50 x 178 mm, $ 16,20
These will get the 30th anniversary band.
Lastly, the Toro size (54 x 152 mm) of the Syncro series (the will be the same), will receive the celebratory band as well:

- Nicaragua Fogata
- South America Ritmo
Limited to 1.000 20-count boxes for each line, pricing is identical to the standard versions.
