TASTING NOTES Ardbeg Auriverdes

Nose: peat, coastal notes and plenty of iodine are firmly in the foreground, joined by peppery and herbal notes. There is also a mineral vein that mix with the major notes of peat. After a few minutes, it also outlines hints of citrus.

Palate: powerful, structured and consistent with what is perceived on the nose. From the very beginning, spices and licorice can be perceived, which then turns to a fruity side of citrus fruits (mainly lemon). After a few moments, there is a woody sensation mixed with the iodine and sea notes, that were already found on the nose.

Finishof medium duration and persistence. It releases iodine, peat and some nuances of citrus fruit. Lastly, the spices and wood are outlined.

The aromatic palette is not particularly wide and varied, but it is fairly intense and has good balance. A solid and enjoyable whisky.
