TASTING NOTES Ardbeg Ten
Nose: strong and coastal peat, followed by vanilla, cocoa and a blend of black pepper and cinnamon. An intense note of iodine emerges at the end.
Palate: medium-high intensity with strong aroma of peat, vanilla, black pepper and paprika. Notes of citrus fruits, lemon above all, complete the aromatic palette.
Finish: medium-long persistence, peat, black pepper and briny notes
Overall, the Ardbeg Ten is an honest and valid product. It’s a bit monolithic, given the limited aromatic palette and the contained complexity, but it still is a good and iconic whisky.
