TASTING NOTES – AMRUT PEATED CASK STRENGTH

Nose

Scents of cocoa are the first to be perceived, followed by smoky notes and a spicy mix, including cardamom, coriander and herbs. Then ripe fruit.

Palate

A mix of spices, supported by cocoa, hazelnut and seasoned wood is delivered. Red fruit (raspberry) and peat follows.

Finish

Medium long persistence. Suave notes of peat, cocoa and hazelnut are released.

Overall, the Amrut Peated Cask Strength is an intense, structured and with excellent balance. The peaty component is not particularly pronounced. A flavor bomb on the palate. This whiskey was awarded as the seventh best whisky in 2019 awards.
