TASTING NOTES – BALBLAIR 2005
Nose
Floral notes and honey are the first flavors to be perceived, followed by smoky notes and a light touch of iodine. Hints of vanilla and licorice are also present.
Palate
Round and slightly dry. It delivers notes of ginger, fruits and vanilla, followed by balsamic herbs (mainly cloves and anise). Citrus flavors, lemon peel in particular, are present as well.
Finish
Medium persistency. Honey and citrus, mainly citron and lemon peel. A touch of wood spices.
Overall, the Balblair 2005 is a balanced Scotch whisky, equipped with a good harmony.It is easy to appreciate.
