Partagas Lusitanias Gran Reserva

Partagas Lusitanias Gran Reserva

Partagas Lusitanias Gran Reserva 800 450 Luca Cominelli

One of the first news coming out from the Festival del Habano, is the new Grand Reserva cigar for 2013.The chosen cigar for this GR edition is the Partagas Lusitanias, a true classic cuban cigar.

 src=

There will just be 5.000 boxes of GR Lusitanias, each box with 15 cigar inside, so there will be 75.000 of these cigars.

The production of these cigars is realized by the most experienced cuban torcedor. The leaves used in this cigar are from the 2007 cosecha and all the leaves have been selected and aged for a minimum of 5 years.

For the first time since Habanos S.A. has introducted the Gran Reserva edition, the Partagas brand is used in a GR release. Before the Lusitania GR, in fact, the only Partagas cigars belonged to a Reserva edition has been the Serie D no.4, but that was just a Reserva Edition (the leaves were aged by a minimum of 3 years) and not a Gran Reserva Edition (with a minimum of 5 years of aging).

The format of this cigar is Prominentes, so the cepo 49x194mm of length. For sure the true aficionados will enjoy a lot this stick. Considering the rich flavors and the strength that a standard production Lusitania is able to give, the expectations on this Lusitanias GR are really high.
