Tasting notes: KAVALAN SOLIST SHERRY CASK
Nose: almost immediatly intense notes of vanilla emerge, paired with a mix of honey and balsamic herbs, mint in particular.
Palate: intense notes of cherry and wood are perceptible, together with red fruits (mainly wild berries). Hints of white pepper and cocoa are perceivable in the background.
Finish: medium long persistency. Aromas of white pepper and red fruits get delivered, together with balsamic notes and anise.
Overall, the Kavalan Solist Sherry Cask is equipped with a not very ample aromatic palette, but it is very structured and remarkably intense. Despite the elevated alcoholic content, this whisky can be enjoyed without any problems and without the addition of water. It results incredibly drinkable, because of its intense sweetness. A Sherry bomb through and through, equipped with a good complexity.
