San'Doro Aged 10 Years

VILLIGER opens the treasure chest and offers its fans a new edition of the VILLIGER San’Doro—the San’Doro Aged 10 Years. At the IPCPR 2015 in Las Vegas, the VILLIGER San’Doro was presented for the first time as a new premium cigar series. Two months later, Heinrich Villiger proudly presented the two Nicaraguan lines, Claro and Colorado, and the Brazilian Maduro at the InterTabac in Dortmund.

Today, Nicaraguan cigars are rolled in their factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. Tobaccos that are at least three years old are decisive for the taste. The first cigars, which went on sale in September 2015, were even blended with tobacco from the 2010-2012 harvest years. And it is precisely from these tobaccos—from said vintage—that cigars have now been created, which are offered in small quantities at a price of €190 per 10-count box. Each box contains five cigars in a Churchill size (50 x 178 mm – 7″) from the Claro and Colorado series. Both cigars are made with a filler and a binder from Nicaragua. Claro’s bright Ecuador Connecticut wrapper is flawless and fine-veined. The Colorado’s Ecuador Maduro wrapper captivates with its slight sheen and flawless feel. A second band at the foot completes the picture and once again points to the age of the tobacco.
