The Nicaraguan Chamber of Tobacco announced the cancelation of the 2021 edition of the International Tobacco “Puro Sabor” Festival. Like most things in 2020, this is due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. The event was originally scheduled for January 2021 but has been suspended. “Our priority is the care we want to give to our people in the factories and to the people who would have visited us for the festival. The evolution of COVID-19 is still unpredictable, so we believe we have made the best decision,” said Claudio Sgroi, president of the Nicaraguan Chamber of Tobacco Growers.
From the Puro Sabor press release, some positive cigar news. Sgroi said, “We are preparing for the next few months, virtual factory tours and personalized virtual masterclasses with experts and manufacturers of the most prestigious Nicaraguan brands.” Even with the main event canceled, cigar enthusiasts, can virtually look forward to new cigar news from “Puro Sabor.” Even with the cancelation of the main event, the virtual event should bring exciting news from the festival group.
