La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon

La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon

La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon are produced in the Dominican Republic, at Jose “Jochy” Blanco’s Tabacalera Palma factory. The brand consists of the Perfection Line and the Box Pressed Line, characterized by a band that refers to the paintings of Jackson Pollock. The name of the brand at first glance seems to be missing on the band, but by turning the cigar against the light, you can see that the name is embossed.

La Instructora Perfecto

Aesthetically, the cigars have a Colorado shaded wrapper leaf, that is smooth and oily. It is silky to the touch. The construction is excellent and the head is finished with a pigtail.

La Instructora Perfecto

La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon: aromas of earth and black pepper are present in the cold draw. The first puffs, also due to the size, are light and the perceived flavors are those of earth, to which a note of smoked wood is added.

La Instructora Perfecto

Further into the first third, the smoke changes gears and becomes fuller. The base is somewhat acidulous and tends to dominate the remaining flavor profile, which is made up of a mix of nuts and earth. The cigar is rough around the edges and sometimes bitter. Strength is medium-full (4/5).

In the central section, the acidic component is not as predominant anymore, although still perceptible. The smoke becomes creamy at times and earth and toasted notes are perceptible, followed by hot spices in the finish. At about halfway through the cigar, the smoke returns to being rather rough and unbalanced. Strength remains constant (4/5).

In the final third, the smoke becomes particularly dry and hot. There can hardly be any flavors made out. Strength grows (4.5/5).

Overall, La Instructora Perfection Petit Salomon gives off a very rough smoke, with a contained balance. Compared to the size that in 2017 placed second in the awards, with a rating of 94 points, this Petit Salomon seems a completely different blend.
