In April, the time has finally come, and Villiger brand ambassador Felix Wallenhorst invites you to the Germany-wide “Villiger Brand Ambassador Tour”. 16 events in 16 weeks, spread throughout Germany. The series of events consists of eight dates from April to May and eight more from July to August. The focus is on the new “VILLIGER de Nicaragua” factory and the premium handmade cigars made there.
The new Villiger plant was officially opened in January this year during the Puro Sabor Festival. Corina and Lucien, Heinrich Villiger’s daughter and grandson, were there and cut the opening ribbon.
The Villiger 1888 Nicaragua will be smoked in two sizes and compared during the first dates. It is the first new release from the factory and was presented during InterTabac 2022 in Dortmund. From July to August, the focus cigar is a secret, but it will also be smoked in two formats.
The cigars are accompanied by an exciting spirit from the “Faude Feine Brande” distillery in Bötzingen.
“We would like to orientate ourselves even more towards the taste of consumers and therefore ask them directly how they like our possible future blends,” says brand ambassador Wallenhorst.
At the end of the event, each guest receives an “Ambassador Goody bag” filled with four cigars. Two of them – both with a secret blend – which any attendee can smoke and evaluate in peace far from the event. This can be done using the QR code printed on each “goody bag”. The answers submitted are intended to provide information on whether the new blends are successful with consumers.
Hard work should be rewarded, and so Villiger packs two exclusive cigars on top of that. Both cigars are only available in the USA, and trying them is a rare opportunity. Of course, Villiger is also curious to see what consumers think, enabling these cigars to be evaluated.
