A new VegaFina called Fortaleza 2 is available. It is a Robusto sized cigar (54 x 137 mm – 5.4″) and it is a limited edition: 4.980 boxes of 10 cigars have been made.
The cigar is named after the use of Andullo tobacco, that is not a tobacco variety but a different way to ferment it. This method has been used for centuries in the Dominican Republic, and it consists of fermenting the leaves not in the usual “pilones” but rolling them up together, creating long cylinders (called “yaguas”). The “Andullo” style has been already used in other cigars, such as the La Aurora ADN.
The blend of these cigars is made of an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper over a Dominican binder and filler.
