Tornabuoni Novecento

Tornabuoni Novecento

Tornabuoni Novecento 800 450 Giuseppe Mitolo

For some weeks now the Compagnia Toscana Sigari has released a new product, the Tornabuoni Novecento. The Kentucky tobaccos used for the wrapper come from Valtiberina, while the fillers are from Sansepolcro. They are machine-made, medium filler, with a bitroncoconic form. The cigars rest nine months before they reaching the market. They come in two count packages at a price of Euro 5.20.

Visually, the wrapper is quite light and rough to the touch. The veins are not accentuated, a distinctive trait of CTS cigars. Draw appears to be regular, as is the construction.

  • Country of Origin: Italy
  • Production: machine-made, medium filler
  • Length: 155 mm
  • Wrapper: Valtiberina (Italy)
  • Filler: Sansepolcro (Italy)
  • Price: €2,60

Tornabuoni Novecento: unlit, you can perceive clear notes of earth and wood.

Once lit, the cigar is characterized by a delicate balance between salty and sweet. Flavors recall wood and walnut, both of good intensity, enriched with hints of earth. Strength is medium-light (2/5).

Continuing into the smoke, the cigar becomes saltier, while the initial sweetness disappears. The earth becomes more intense, while notes of leather and mineral come in. Strength becomes medium (3/5).

Overall, this Novecento is an excellent product, well balanced, rich and varied in the number of flavors. There were no mechanical problems of the draw or the combustion. It is medium in complexity. It can be smoked in the morning, but it will not disappoint even the meditative moments of the day.
