The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Lancero is a cigar made in Nicaragua, and the mind behind this brand is that of Nicholas Melillo. They are sold in 24-ct boxes. In terms of sizes, the Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Lancero was the last introduction to the line, that was presented in 2018. The Lancero was added a year later, following the success of the Tabernacle with the red band. As for the other sizes, the whole blend revolves around the wrapper leaf grown in the U.S.A .: it is a Connecticut Havana Seed CT #142, for which Nicholas Melillo experimented for over 4 years before obtaining the desired result.

This Lancero comes dressed in a Maduro wrapper, which is rough to the touch. The construction is well done and all the cigars tested had a uniform filling.

The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Lancero: you can perceive a mix of nuts and earth in the cold draw. The opening reveals earth, wood and spices.

The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Lancero

In the first third, the cigar releases earth, wood, and mineral notes. There are spicy notes of white pepper in the background, which give rise to a particularly long finish. Strength is medium (3/5), and the smoke is complex and very balanced.

In the second, third, moist earth and spices alternate. The mineral notes are confirmed but not as marked as before. The wood has moved to the background. Strength grows, reaching a medium-full body (4/5).

The final third of the smoke turns to spices and balsamic herbs. Strength remains constant until the end (4/5), resulting well under control.

Overall, The Tabernacle Havana Seed CT #142 Lancero releases a smoke with a marked complexity and a broad and structured flavor profile. An excellent cigar, which confirms the quality of the Havana Seed CT #142 line.
