Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

Stolen Throne is a brand that launched in 2019 and presented the Crook of the Crown line, which consists of a Robusto and a Toro size. The owners are the Americans JR Cannon and Lee Marsh. The cigars were blended together with Noel Rojas and are made at the Tabacalera Flor de Sa Luis in Esteli, Nicaragua. Particularity worthy of mention is the use of a Mexican San Andres wrapper that is aged for ten years.

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

The Robusto is dressed in a dark and shiny Maduro shaded wrapper. To the touch, it is slightly rough and has medium-thick veins. The craftsmanship is great, finished with a closed foot and a perfect filling. Draw is good.

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto: the nose immediately captures a pronounced scent of cocoa, dominating over more nuanced pepper and wood tones.

Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto

The opening is delicately sapid. Balsamic and mineral notes, enriched by nuances of cocoa and nuts, make up the flavor profile. Strength is medium-light (2/5).

In the central third, a slight astringency is starting to come through. The flavors are even better structured, with mineral notes, nuts (among which the Brazilian walnut stands out), and fresh wood. Strength increases to medium (3/5).

In the final third, alongside the unchanged sapidity, a light bitter note emerges as well. The evolution is not as marked as before. Alongside the usual notes of nuts and wood, only a slight spicy nuance emerges. Strength remains unchanged (3/5).

Ultimately, this Stolen Throne Crook of the Crown Robusto delivers an interesting smoke. It has a good balance between flavors and strength, with an ample flavor intensity. It suffers from a slight astringency in the second half, but nothing that cannot be mitigated by a sip of water.
