Silencio Los Rios Toro is a brand of the Scandinavian Tobacco Group and, like all the others, is produced at the General Cigar Dominicana factory in the Dominican Republic. The brand is distributed worldwide, except in the United States. In particular, the Los Rios line owes its name to the Eucador region, where the Connecticut Shade leaf used for the wrapper is grown.
The Los Rios line is sold in two vitolas, Robusto and Toro, sold in 20-ct boxes.
The cigar is rolled in a shiny Colorado-colored wrapper with golden reflections. To the touch, it is relatively smooth with medium veins. The construction and filling are excellent, while the draw appears slightly open.

Silencio Los Rios Toro: there are hints of honey and spices of good and equal intensity perceptible in the cold draw.
Once lit, the smoke is quite sweet on the palate, also with a certain softness. It expresses powerful earthy notes, followed by less marked mineral and spicy hints and nuances of nuts. Strength is light (1/5).
In the central section, the sweetness remains unchanged, while aromatically, wood and spices are added to the flavor profile. The strength increases, becoming medium-light (2/5).
In the last third, the smoke becomes sapid in the mouth, abandoning the sweetness and even becoming slightly bitter on the finish. There is a metallic note that increases in intensity with the bitter flavor. Strength remains unchanged (2/5).
Overall, the Silencio Los Rios Toro showcases an enjoyable smoke until the last third of the smoke. If it weren’t for the metallic and bitter notes in the end, you would have a great cigar that, with its contained strength, would make for a delightful morning smoke.
