Saint James 12 Years Old

Saint James 12 Years Old

Saint James 12 Years Old 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

Saint James 12 Years Old is a rum produced in Martinique, distilled at the well-known Habitation Trou Vaillant. The history of this brand dates back to 1765, when the distillery was founded. The Saing James brand, however, began to become popular in 1882, when Paulin Lambert purchased the distillery and decided to register the brand and also the square shape of the bottle, which still remains exactly the same used today. Easily recognizable, it has become a symbol of the brand.

TASTING NOTES – SAINT JAMES 12 YEARS OLD

Nose

Hints of wood and spices are followed by ripe fruit and candied fruit. Echoes of raisins are also noticeable.

Palate

It is fruity, with notes of banana and apricot. The spicy component, initially sweet, becomes more and more marked, slowly becoming the main flavor.

Finish

Of medium persistence, it releases aromas of wood, spices and ripe fruit.

Overall, the Saint James 12 Years Old is endowed with a well-defined flavor profile, and is an easy-to-approach rum, thanks also to the not particularly high alcoholic component.
