Rosetta Of Casdagli’s Cabinet Selection Gets A Maduro Twin

Casdagli Rosetta Maduro

In celebration of the Cabinet Selection series 5th birthday, Casdagli Cigars launches a Maduro version of Rosetta. Back in 2015, Rosetta was the first vitola to introduce the Cabinet Selection. Since then, the Rosetta has grown to be one of the top 5 most sought after cigars in the Casdagli product portfolio. The original Rosetta cigar idea came to light during a conversation between Casdagli’s founder Jeremy Casdagli, and Martin Brix Nelson of Kind Cigars, during a drive together through Sweden. That conversation about the Swedes and their love of coffee breaks (Fika in Sweedish) gave them the idea for a short smoke to be enjoyed during that short coffee break.  True to the origins of this line’s original spirit, the Cabinet Selection cigars are designed to be paired with coffee drinks, and all carry coffee-related names like Rosetta, Ristretto, Romano. “It has been a pleasure seeing our baby, the Rosetta, taking the world by storm the past 5 years. Whilst the Rosetta works best with coffee with some milk added. The Maduro version makes the perfect addition for a straight espresso. I am very happy with how the switch of just the wrapper completely changed the profile of this little masterpiece. I am very proud to be a part of this project,” adds Martin Brix Nelson of Kind Cigars.

The regular version of the Rosetta uses a Dominican Cotui wrapper. The new Rosetta Maduro will be changing the wrapper to an Ecuadorian Corojo Maduro. The rest of the Rosetta blend remains unchanged. “Rarely can you change the wrapper leaf without tampering with the binder and filler whilst maintaining a well-balanced and tasty cigar that is still true to its elder brother, the Rosetta,” says Jeremy Casdagli from the official press release. The Rosetta Maduro is carefully created using the traditional, time-honored curing method by Casdagli Cigars’ Master Blender Hendrik Kelner Jr.

Casdagli Rosetta Maduro

The Rosetta Maduro is a 46 x 102mm (4″) cigar in the Pyramide format. Made in the Dominican Republic at the Kelner Boutique Factory. Boxes will be a 25-ct and will be a dark stained wooden slide-lid box. The Rosetta Maduro will be available in the second half of February 2021. Initially only available at godfather Kind Cigars in Sweden. The Rosetta Maduro will then be available as a regular production cigar to Casdagli Cigars’ distributors worldwide later in June 2021.
