Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4

Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4

Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4 1600 900 Giuseppe Mitolo

The Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4 was included in the brand’s portfolio during the 80s, together with the Exhibicion No. 3 (a Corona Gorda), which was discontinued in 2013. The No. 4 is a Hermoso No. 4 as vitola de galera.
Until 2010 it was possible to buy it in 50-count Slide Lid Boxes. Nowadays, it can only be purchased in 25-count boxes.

Romeo Y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4

Visually it is rolled in a Colorado wrapper with brown reflections, but it is not uncommon to find lighter shades. To the touch, it is pretty smooth with a couple of minor veins present, and it is slightly box-pressed. Construction is excellent, as is the draw.

Romeo Y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4

Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4: well-defined aromas of wood and vegetal notes are perceived in the cold draw, enriched by nutty nuances.

Romeo Y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4

Once lit, it is pretty sweet on the palate, while the aromas recall earth, wood, and vegetal notes, all of equal intensity. A slightly spicy nuance appears further into the smoke, and strength is light (1/5).

In the central section, the initial sweetness ultimately leaves the scene to a very evident sapidity and a light bitterness, all enriched by a spicy sensation, which, however, remains light. A balsamic nuance appears alongside the unchanged notes of earth and wood. Strength increases slightly, becoming medium-light (2/5).

The flavor profile does not undergo a particular change in the final third since only the earth and wood remain perceptible. Strength remains unchanged (2/5).

In conclusion, also considering previous taste testing, the Romeo y Julieta Exhibicion No. 4 is a cigar that suffers from a very fluctuating production. Starting from the wrapper, it is possible to come across very different examples, which can even return a more or less intense smoke. However, the cigar is in line with the identity of the brand: well perceptible aromas on a strength level that is never over the top. Too bad that it does not offer more in terms of evolution or richness.
