Ramon Allones Club Allones

Ramon Allones Club Allones 300 170 Luca Cominelli

Ramon Allones Club Allones is one of the Cuban limited editions for 2015. The size is called Club Allones, from where the cigar gets its name. Measuring 47x 135mm. It is a slightly modified Corona Gorda, with approximately one centimeter less in length (a classic Corona Gorda measures 46×143).

This cigar looks very well made, with a specifically designed band, mentioning name/vitola of the cigar (similarly to what was done for the Hoyo de San Juan). The wrapper features a colorado maduro shade, not as dark as other limited editions by Habanos. To the touch you can feel the homogeneous filling.

Ramon Allones Club Allones: before lighting the cigar up, cocoa hints can be perceived. It opens up with herbal and black pepper hints.

In first third it alternates herbal, cocoa, hazelnut and black pepper notes. Medium-bodied in strength (3/5).

The second third continues with the same aromatic palette, but the smoke becomes creamier. Strength increases slightly (3,5/5).

It changes into wet earth and aromatic herbs in the last third. Traces of ammonia are present on the nose. Strength stays constant.

Overall, a smoke with good intensity, that gives off a  good aromatic palette. Evolution is not one of the most remarkable. A cigar which can improve when provided with a little aging period.
