PUNI NERO 2017 TASTING NOTES
Nose: the full maturation in wine barrels is perceivable. First of all, it delivers spicy notes, green pepper and saffron, followed by white grapes and gooseberries. It reminds to a young Armagnac. Then it exhibits hints of berries, sour cherry and cherry in spirit.
Palate: a rich white grape vein is the main aroma. The spices take a while to be delivered. The bouquet is made of green pepper, cardamom and cinnamon. The intensity grows, while a unripe yellow fruits and citrus follow towards the finish.
Finish: long persistence. White grapes, well blended spices and yellow fruits are perceivable.
As mentioned in the review, this is a particular product that easily reminds to an Armagnac. The aging in wine barrels is courageous and the resulting product is very interesting.
