The Series No.1 is one of the three limited editions of 2017. Sold in 2018, with a considerable delay, the chosen format is called “Noblezas”, unique in the Cuban production due to its size. It is a Robusto Extra, packed in boxes of 25 cigars. Being a limited edition, the tobacco used in this cigar is aged for at least two years.
Cigars are dressed up in a colorado maduro shade wrapper. Overall construction is good.

Partagas Series No.1 EL2017: rich spicy and earthy scents on the cold draw. First few puffs are mainly vegetal.
The first third delivers a mix of earth, wood and spices, among those black pepper stands out. Strength is a bit above the medium (3.5/5).
In the middle section, the flavor profile is confirmed with notes of earth, wood and spices. The latter become more pronounced right now, culminating with piquant peaks. There is also a touch of cocoa in some puffs. Strength increases, reaching a medium-high level (4/5).
In the final part, the spices and the earth are the main protagonist. The finale is rich, very spicy and satisfying. Strength doesn’t change.
Overall, the Partagas Series No.1 EL2017 delivers a rich and bold smoke. This limited edition is a great one and the cigar is equipped with a flavor profile that represents the one of Partagas. Among the best Cuban limited editions.
