Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide 1600 900 Luca Cominelli

The Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide is a cigar made in the Canary Islands, which, although it is not one of the best-known countries for the production of cigars, boasts a history of tobacco cultivation that is about 300 years long. There are three lines belonging to this brand, each identified by a band that differs exclusively in color (red, brown, and blue). The three lines then share the same three formats: a robusto, a pyramid, and a short robusto.

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide

Aesthetically, the cigars are presented in a “minimal” way, with a rather spartan but clean band and, all in all, fairly captivating in its simplicity. They are dressed in a Claro wrapper leaf, which feels rough to the touch. The filling shows some gaps and is not particularly uniform in several spots.

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide: the cold draw reveals faint hints of hay. Once lit, notes of wood are perceptible.

Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide

The first part of the smoke releases faint hints of wood and hay. The intensity is rather contained as well as the flavor profile. Some vegetal notes are also perceptible. Strength is very light (1/5).

In the central sector, the flavor profile, as well as the intensity, remain rather contained. Aromas of cellulose and hay are perceivable. Strength grows slightly, but remains light (1.5/5).

The last part of the smoke shows no variations in terms of both flavor profile and strength, which remains contained until the last puffs (1.5/5).

Overall, the Kolumbus K-Azul Piramide releases a smoke with a very contained and limited flavor profile. The aromas are quite light and intensity, as well as the evolution, is almost imperceptible.
