TASTING NOTES – KILCHOMAN SALIGO BAY

Nose

peat that immediately resembles a bonfire, with also a citrus (lemon) component that provides good freshness. Secondly, malted cereal, with herbs components, from hay to aromatic herbs.

Palate

peat, sweeter than on the nose, with a good balance, orange and mild vanilla. Also toffee and butterscotch. Sweetness increases with time in the glass.

Finish

slight spiciness; continues on peat and vanilla, with a touch of lemon custard.

Interesting combination of peat and citrus freshness, with a structured sweetness.
