The Taiwanese distillery’s Solist range is matured in unconventional woods. These whiskies are single barrel bottled at cask strength. In this case, we have Barriques that have previously contained white and red wines before being re-toasted. Every numbered bottle presents the barrel provenance and the signature of the Master Blender.

Nose
It reveals intense flavors of raisins, red fruits (a mix of strawberries and cherries), with rich notes of dark chocolate, followed by caramel, black pepper and hints of coriander.
Palate
Despite its high ABV, this Taiwanese whiskey can be enjoyed at full grade. It reveals a rich mix of exotic (dates in particular) and candid fruits, with an intense note of aromatic balsamic herbs in the background.
Finish
Persistency is medium long. Balsamic, with the omnipresent notes of dates.
Overrall, the Kavakan Solist Vinho Barrique is equipped with a great aromatic intensity. The bouquet is harmonious and the aromatic palette is structured and deep. Very satisfying.
